Going into the 2023 piping season, piper/composer John Dew is excited to announce the release of his brand-new digital music collection PIPE SUITES by John Dew. This is a brand-new collection of bagpipe music compiling 11 pieces for multiple pipers.

John’s first suites came during his school years after hearing, and being fascinated by, suites such as The Beaches of Harris, Me and My Practice Chanter, The Trinity, Learning to Fly and Tir Nan Og as well as many others. Since then, he has worked on a number of different suites, of varying styles, and is very proud to release this collection of 11 pieces; some of which were written as early as 2014 and others in more recent years.

Some of the pieces in this collection feature on John’s CDs; ‘The High Bridge Walk’ (2020) and ‘Mackerel Sky’ (2021), such as Mackerel Sky, The Town of Venasque, The Sesh Chest Reels and Sunday Afternoon in Rattray:

The collection itself takes a digital format and is sold on a USB stick. The USB stick it contains 3 main
files:
1) The collection itself – the full book in digital format
2) A demo track of each suite
3) Individual parts of each piece for easier reading and learning.
