Balance Tone HR (High Resonance) Drone Reeds have been designed to produce more harmonics, resulting in higher resonance on the chanter notes and thus a more refined overall sound.

The HR reeds feature distinguishing black plugs and have all of the functionality of the standard reeds (with the white plugs).

These reeds are simply the best most efficient drone reeds on the market. Kilberry offers an excellent service, I recommend both Kilberry and Balance tone HR3 reeds as worth supporting.

Early days yet as I’ve just installed them and only had a couple of half-hour sessions testing them with different chanter reeds. However my initial view is that they are going to be very good.
