We can not recommend these enough. They are absolutely game changing for hemping the pipes up. We have started using them on all pipes that come for a rehemp and on our own pipes, and the difference has been fantastic! There is no need to add hemp after playing them for a week, and no uneven hemping.

I created these Bagpipe Hemp Compressors due to my own struggles to achieve a good hemping result.  As an older piper, I needed something that required very little strength, hence why I recommend to only use a light compression as that is all that is needed to achieve optimal compression facilitating easier playability and maintenance of your bagpipes.   Works well to create a smooth even surface and remove air pockets.  

You may ask "why do I need these?", well, quite simply, you don't!  They are just a handy and convenient tool to have in your pipebag.

Easy to use anywhere, great for those last minute hemp edits, at home, at band or on the field!
Made from a quality and durable plastic with some ability to flex under pressure, however I recommend to start with a light pressure and gradually increase as needed turning and lightly squeezing as you go.  The compression can be more than expected so please be cautious with fragile pipes.
