Three out of three African Blackwood practice chanters bottoms that were being turned in the workshop today had major flaws in the wood, this rendered them useless as practice chanters! It goes without saying, days like this are rather frustrating!
Fear not, the wood will not go to waste! Once the flaw has been cut away there is still plenty of quality African Blackwood left to make handles for the Kilberry Collection Sgian-Dubhs!
The Sgian-Dubhs are all made from wood that isn't useable or is leftover from making our practice chanters, smallpipes or highland bagpipes!
